Celebrate the fall equinox and ease into Libra season with a rich Reposado from 1800 Tequila. Named after the year the first premium tequila was born, 1800 Reposado is crafted using 8 – 12-year old 100% Weber blue agave and is matured in American and French Oak barrels for no less than six months. This rich liquid has notes of buttery caramel, mild spices and a touch of smokiness, which is imparted by the finishing process. Perfect mixed in a the easy to make cocktails below, or on the rocks.

Mangosado (above)

1.5 oz 1800 Reposado

.75 oz Mango Nectar

.75 oz Fresh Orange Juice

Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin, add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds. Pour into double rocks glass over ice. Gently pour Grenadine into glass. Garnish with mint sprig & mango slice.

Chavez Dragger

2 oz. 1800 Reposado

¾ oz. key lime juice

½ oz. honey

2 raspberries

Add all ingredients to tin. Shake hard for 10 seconds and remove ice. Shake very hard for 15 seconds. Double strain into large coupe.

Mr. Jones

2 oz.1800 Reposado

1 oz. lemon

¾ ounce agave

1 sweet pepper

Sprig of lemongrass

Top with soda water

Muddle sweet pepper with lemongrass thoroughly in shaker. Add remaining ingredients, then add soda water. Double strain into rocks glass. Garnish with halved sweet pepper.

Falling Wynwood

2 oz. 1800 Reposado

¼ oz. Italian amaro

1 oz. lime juice

½ oz. agave syrup

3 slices of ginger root

Soda

Muddle ginger root in a shaker. Add remaining ingredients and ice. Shake hard for 10 seconds.

Add roughly 1 oz of soda to the shaker. Double strain into a Collins glass and garnish with skewed candied ginger.
