These days you can’t get through the day without seeing a colleague, friend, influencer or celebrity with a weird or unruly #QuarantineBeard. People like DJ Khaled, Kevin Hart, Jim Carey and Lebron James are all over social talking about missing their barbers while experimenting with different facial hair styles during social distancing.

While this is nowhere near the sacrifice essential health care workers and first responders have had to make, many barbers have taken a financial hit and have been out of work for a month or so.

As a men’s grooming brand, Schick Hydro recognizes that it is in a unique position to give back to this community in need. To do so, the brand has introduced: #ShaveFromHome.

Through this campaign the Schick Hydro has employed out-of-work barbers giving them some supplemental income to create virtual grooming tutorials to help men master their facial hair at home.

The brand has also partnered with National Association of Barbers and is encouraging consumer donations to help out-of-work / independent barbers across the country through the organization’s GoFundMe link Schick Hydro has pledged to match consumer donations up to $50,000.

The campaign is live on Schick Hydro Instagram, and already featured barbers Kyle Krieger and Mike Sposito through their own posts. Below is a schedule of the brand’s upcoming barber tutorials.
