Telemundo Deportes’ Spanish-Language coverage of the NFL continues this weekend with two Wild Card Round games as part of the network’s coverage of the 2020 NFL Playoffs. Telemundo Deportes’ Wild Card Weekend begins as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Washington Football Team on Saturday, January 9th with live coverage on Universo, followed by the Cleveland Browns versus the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, January 10th live nationwide on Telemundo. Both games will also be broadcast in English on NBC, with Sunday’s game additionally available on Peacock.

Telemundo Deportes’ presentation of both NFL Wild Card playoff games includes pre-game and halftime studio coverage hosted by Emmy-award winning anchor, Miguel Gurwitz alongside Jorge Andres and former Arizona Cardinals offensive guard, Rolando Cantu. Veteran NFL commentators, Edgar Lopez and Rene Giraldo, will return to call the on-field action as color commentator and game announcer respectively, each bringing years of NFL coverage experience to Spanish-speaking NFL fans. Telemundo Deportes viewers will also have the ability to livestream the games on the Telemundo Deportes App and TelemundoDeportes.com.

Kicking off coverage of the NFL Playoffs this Saturday on Universo are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus NFC East champions, Washington Football Team as Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, leads the team to their first playoff appearance since 2007. With 30 totals wins in the playoffs, one of the best playoff records for an NFL quarterback, Brady and the Buccaneers hope to claim victory in what will also be Washington’s first playoff appearance since they last won their division in 2015. Live Spanish-language coverage of Tampa Bay at Washington begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Saturday, January 9th  on Universo, including an interview with former Tampa Bay player, Martin Gramatica.

The following evening on Telemundo, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the oldest AFC rivalry, meet again in Pittsburgh in the final game of the wild card round ahead of the division playoffs. Leading an undefeated season until last month, AFC North champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, will host the Browns in their first playoff appearance since 2002.  Live Spanish-language coverage of the Browns versus the Steelers on begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sunday, January 10th on Telemundo.  Sunday’s game coverage on Telemundo will also include an interview with Steelers’ linesman, Alejandro Villanueva.

Telemundo Deportes’ coverage of the 2020 NFL season marked the first time in history the entire slate of Sunday Night Football was made available in Spanish-language for U.S. viewers, and the eighth season that Telemundo Deportes has presented NFL games since Telemundo’s first NFL broadcast took place in September of 2010. The network’s past NFL coverage also includes two NFL Super Bowl presentations in 2015 and 2018.
