Hard Rock Hotels (as we know from our previous reviews of properties in Panama and Punta Cana) are not only outstanding resorts, they are unique properties with their own vibrant, energetic, rock-and-roll sensibility. An iconic brand that has become a lifestyle. And finally the North East can enjoy this experience with the opening of Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.  As expected, the property has been experiencing record-setting occupancy rates ever since its opening last June, even in off-season. We had the opportunity to witness the Atlantic City renaissance first-hand. Now is the time to book your stay for the summer months – or the upcoming concerts by Lionel Richie, Keith Urban, and Gilberto Santa Rosa & Victor Manuelle, among many others.

PROPERTY
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is a 17-acre behemoth with its own direct access to the boardwalk, convenient during the summer months, especially if you are travelling with the entire family.
The resort is huge and has the largest music related memorabilia collection around. It features priceless personal items of the most legendary artists.

Right as you enter there’s an Elvis Presley Rolls-Royce, John Lennon‘s hand written lyrics to “Imagine,” official suits worn by The Beatles, and an original menu of the first Hard Rock Cafe in London from 1971. In fact, the collection is so massive and unique that you can easily spend hours just exploring the space and discovering something new at every turn. It’s just incredible to stand so close to all those remarkable historic items.

On the second floor is The Rock Vault, a collection dedicated to New Jersey-born artists including Jon Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, Richie Sambora, Frankie Valli and others.

Most people may know that the Florida-based Seminoles Tribe purchased Hard Rock in 2007 from a British company, becoming one of the largest purchases ever by a Native American tribe. On the second floor you’ll find photos of the Native American Tribe, a significant part of the brand’s history.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Hard Rock offers accommodations for every budget. Our favorites are the Ocean Classic rooms – available either in the North or South Tower – and offering stunning views of the Atlantic all year long. Those celebrating a special occasion or preferring more space can opt from a variety of suites.

Choose from the Fillmore, Apollo, Celebrity, or Roxy; ranging from 650SF to 1,400SF of space, with some that include separate dining and living rooms.
Regardless of the selection, all rooms and suites are stylish, comfortable, modern, and include a Mini Fridge, and pillow-top mattresses with ‘Sleep Like a Rock’ bedding. Don’t forget about Hard Rock’s Signature feature – The Sound of Your Stay. This is a music amenity program which allows guests to set the mood with complimentary vinyl records in the privacy of their own room.

ENTERTAINMENT AND CASINO
We know most guests come to Atlantic city to gamble. Hard Rock Resort & Casino provides endless slots and game tables that makes it difficult to remember which one you previously played. All modern and updated.Music is ingrained in the brand’s DNA and the resort maintains 5 stages, which promise entertainment programming 365 days a year (there’s even a dedicated beach stage for the summer months). Every single night you will enjoy great music, live acoustic sets, or top-notch comedy.

The biggest concerts are performed Friday to Sunday at the main stage – Etess Arena. The entertainment program offers a diverse selection so everything can be found here…from a legendary rock concert to a top boxing match.

Upcoming shows include the musicals Kinky Boots (May 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and Jersey Boys (June 25, 26, 27), stand-up from Finnesse Mitchel (April 3, 4) and exciting concerts like Tropicaliente with Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle and India on Saturday May 4th.

After the concerts don’t forget Daer, the hot sexy nightclub bringing top name, world renown DJ’s for regular guest spots.

DINING
When it comes to dining there is no need to venture away from the property. Whatever your appetite desires it’s only an elevator ride away. Be it Asian, Italian, seafood, a classic steakhouse, or the very fun and celeb magnet Sugar Factory, Hard Rock Resort & Casino provides an exceptional variety of dining options.

Youyu Noodle Bar is focused on Asian street food. Casual atmosphere – perfect for a lunch.

Robert’s Steakhouse was covered earlier. This upscale and luxury dining offers a warm inviting atmosphere. Should be in your “must-visit” list for dinner.

Council Oak Fish. Do you like seafood? If so it’s your first choice. In addition a great variety of wine is waiting for you.

Kuro – one of our favorites. Very unique Japanese place in Kaiseki style with caring staff and delicious food. Kuro is focusing on traditional dishes so you won’t find any signature rolls there but it will surprise you with quite interesting combinations of the ingredients.

Sofia Richie with Scott Disick at Sugar Factory

Sugar Factory – cool spot for families with kids or “girls night” chill. The name says it all. Lots of sugar, lots of chocolate, lots of Instagram ready set-ups. You will be surprised by the presentation. Some milkshakes are so complex that it will take a while to finish

Il Mulino NY – if you’re a fan of Italian cuisine you know this is one of the best restaurants in New York City, and a phenomenal Italian eatery. The finest fish, meat, homemade cheese, pasta… Another winner for a special dinner.

Fresh Harvest Buffet. Let’s call it a culinary tour of the world. For up to $30 (depending on either lunch time or dinner) you can have a meal that would last a week.

In addition to all the above restaurants you’ll find a Food Court of the second floor where you can grab a quick bite, some fast food, ice cream, pastries, and coffee.

SPA
Time to relax. Rock Spa Salon welcomes you to forget all problems and enjoy the beauty of body and mind relaxation. Services include manicures, pedicures, make-up, barber and hair services, facials, and full body treatments and massages, including deep tissue, romantic couples experiences, athletic and therapeutic restoration needs.

You can schedule your most loved treatments with the friendly and efficient therapists, or get a day pass and take advantage of the vitality pools, hot tub, adventure shower, steam room, and sauna.

The nice thing is that there are always staff members around who are happy to answer any of question, or just offer a glass of champagne. On the same floor there also VIP suites, for those who prefer something more private. You can request it when booking your treatment.

Our experience at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino exceeded expectations and it’s one of the best resorts in Atlantic City – and our favorite along the boardwalk. Entertainment, dining, and gambling are above the rest, and the Rock memorabilia and history just puts it over the edge. Whatever the reason or season, Hard Rock always Rocks Hard in entertainment, dining, fun.
